1. Had a lovely date with [livejournal.com profile] dahveed76 on Friday night. We had shabu-shabu and watched Batman: The Dark Knight. It was very good, but it did seem to drag a bit, partly because it was such a downward spiral. Awesome character development, though.

2. Ran 1.25 miles on Saturday. Yay! I forgot to check the time on my iPod clock before I started running, though, so checking the time at the end was useless to me. Bah. I think I just need a stopwatch. Like Ianto. :D

3. After that run, I got to babysit for the world's cutest almost-three-year-old. We played at the park. It was awesome. I got a hug AND a kiss from him. His dad, [livejournal.com profile] meadmaker, also gave me some of the lovely mead from which he takes his name. Yay!

4. Sunday, I slept until 10:30, unheard of for me. Then, [livejournal.com profile] pierceheart and I moved some boxes to the new place, and did some serious cleaning in the kitchen there. We found out we have central air. o_O It was a productive day. I need to pack more, though.

This summer has been unusually cool and wet, but there are times when it gets damned hot up here!

I've survived 130+ degree days, and I still love the idea of central air.

...But it was a dry heat.

Boston, now, Boston gets damn muggy, and a/c helps SO much with that.

But it was a dry heat.

Never mattered - still sucked the life out of people.

And it's all relative - I'm used to boston weather, so having an A/C mitigates what I'm used to.

I'm sure it did.
That was typed with tongue firmly planted in the cheek.

People say that about Arizona and Nevada, too, and Las Vegas nearly knocked me over, even in late winter. Didn't want to venture outside at all. I'm not happy if it gets above 80º--105º qualifies as soul-sucking, so I can't quite imagine 130º.

Ooohhh central air.
Envy.

And yay for running! I seriously wouldn't worry about time, except as far as how long you're exercising and keeping your heart rate up. But yeah, I hear ya on forgetting to measure things at the beginning...I keep doing that. Like with heart rate.

But keep doing whatever it is that keeps you interested and motivated, and have fun!
