In which Your Humble Narrator gets a number of pricks

Remember how I said there were blackberries near me at work? Well, I just picked myself about a pint of them! My left hand (which appears to be my pickin' hand, in spite of being right-handed) is a bit pricked and scratched up now, but I'm quite contented. I will be bringing the berries home in a washed empty yogurt container. Squee! Wild blackberries! They look gorgeous. I've had one or two last week, but this was the first time a lot of them looked ripe enough for picking.

Despite our overwhelmingly suburban home, we have oregano, chives, mint, raspberries, and tomatoes. It really is satisfying to pick everything yourself!
