Mmm...pasta!

After living in the Davis area for over three years, and just on the brink of moving to another neighborhood, I finally decided to set foot in a Davis institution that I hadn't yet explored: Dave's Fresh Pasta. See, lately I haven't wanted to take the time to cook, but I also haven't wanted to eat out or order in too much. I decided that a nice compromise would be to buy something that's pretty much ready-made and just throw it together at home. I ended up getting some frozen lobster ravioli, a vodka cream sauce, and a bottle of sauvignon blanc at Dave's (which really has some awesome stuff). The lobster ravioli was the most lobster-icious I've had, I think, and the vodka cream sauce was the perfect accompaniment. I made a salad with that, and we drank the wine, which was darned tasty. I think I will have to go there again!

Got some fantastic wine from there last Friday. It was one that they were doing a tasting on so even got to try it in the store. I have a good friend who just moved in a few blocks up from Dave's Fresh Pasta...I see this being a dangerous location for her to live.

i've been pulling stuff outta the freezer, and cooking that.

last night i put in a small roast at 8:30, had roast beef at 9:30pm. YUMMMMM.

when i was getting the place ready to go on the market, i ate easy stuff from trader joe's. and used paper paper plates so i wouldn't hafta spend time washing dishes.

i'm back to paper plates. :)

Dave's is great!

Plus, I get a 10% discount there with my Brown School card. Said card is about to expire, so I'm going to need to replace it. It's my understanding that Dave's is still on the discount list.
