7:32 - Leave the house.

7:38 - Arrive at the bus stop to wait for the 95.

7:41 - The 95 should be showing up now. Should is the operative word here.

7:50 - At this point, the CT2 is leaving Sullivan Station. I have missed my connecting bus. Another irate would-be passenger tells me that the earlier 95 bus never showed up either.

8:05 - The 95 arrives. At this point, I am too late to catch the NEXT CT2 bus.

8:25 or so - The 95 finally gets to Sullivan, and I need to get on the orange line. The orange line is so packed that while I can't hold onto anything, the sheer press of bodies keeps me upright.

8:50 or so - I have transferred to the red line and arrived at Kendall. I see tons of people waiting for the Tech Shuttle, which means it's late. It arrives just after I do, though

9:15 - The shuttle finally, finally arrives at my stop. I am, at this point, nearly an hour late for work.

You've been lucky. I won't rely on Boston buses for anything time-sensitive, even when I was only in town for 5 days visiting I had two buses just not show up...

A. used to commute by bus and had a similar story every week or two at least.

Usually, I get to work in less than an hour, and have the added benefit of getting to spend that time happily reading and listening to music, but today was ridiculous.

That's why I hated working in Longwood--it was a three-part commute (bus, T, shuttle), and if one part was off, I could be really late. Now it's one bus ride into Cambridge--I can still be late, but it's only one factor.
So yeah, sympathy on that.
You can't help it, and work may not blame you, but it's still frustrating as hell.
