A good start to the weekend

Last night, pierceheart and I actually went out clubbing for the first time in AGES. It was great. We hit XMortis at T.T. The Bear's. He went in his black Amerikilt and his Amerikilt tee-shirt (and stompy boots). I went my corset, a short black skirt over a short black lace petticoat, and platform boots that gave me 3-4 inches of height. :) While we were having jynnan tonnix, who should walk in but miss_lisa_ma and perseph12? Given that they were there for a girls' night out with a friend, and we were there for a date, we were all a bit surprised, but it was good to see them. The boy and I danced and chatted and mourned the loss of ManRay. It was a great night out. We didn't stay super-late because he had to work today, but frankly, I was glad about that.

Now, it's just a bit after 9 am, and I have done a bunch of cleaning up in the kitchen, and have started a crock pot full of beef stew. Yay! I browned some lean stew beef with a little flour, and put it in there with carrots, onions, Yukon gold potatoes, some itty bitty baby white button mushrooms (left whole), a cup of beef broth, a bay leaf, salt, and coarse ground black pepper. I will probably add some thyme when I get home from running errands today.

Now, to have some food and take a shower, and get out there to face the day!

LOL! Nah, I'm just a morning person! I woke up just before 6 and couldn't get back to sleep before the alarm went off for the boy at quarter to seven, so I got up when he did. Coffee helped. :)
