Buffy is one of them. Another is The X -Files. At least up to the end of the next-to-last season. Last season sucked ass.

Buffy, definitely. Angel, too, although I fell away during the "St. Cordy" storyline in the middle until thigns got more, ah, interesting. I agree with you about The X-Files, worth missing until the point it jumped the shark. That had to be the most tragic shark-jumping to which I was ever witness, given how great the show had been.

I felt like Angel jumped the shark after the second season, if not during it. Darla irritates the fuck out of me.

The chemistry between Duchovny and Anderson made The X-Files one of the best shows I've ever seen. Taking Duchovny out of it ruined it. So did the suddenly-galloping-towards-stupidity plotline of the last season. But still, there are some episodes of that show that are among the best things that have ever, ever been on TV.

Firefly.

(Although a little tiny piece of me really misses F Troop)

Yeah, Firefly. VERY true. Don't know why I didn't say it. Maybe because I was only thinking of shows that got through a full run?

Dunno but I was shocked that you forgot it.

Firefly was my first thought for this.

Actually, it's my only thought for this. I want to know Inarra's secret. I want to know about Shepard Book. etc. etc.

sigh.

Book's a former operative, it's the only thing that makes sense.

oh, well, YEAH, of course, but how does the CREW find out? how do they react? what's Mal's take on it?

you got an answer for that hypo that Inarra has? that's still a real mystery, as far as i know. i haven't seen the latest set of comics though.

ok, in Bushwhacked, when they're packing to leave the ship, Inarra pulls out a box and we're shown that it holds a hypodermic and a couple vials.

that was NOT a throw away. Joss said it wasn't meant as a suicide kit.

so, what was it?

Samurai Jack never got a proper ending. It'd be hard to do it now, since Mako died.

I wouldn't mind seeing more Invader Zim, either.

The West Wing & Babylon 5 are two of my all time favs... I don't think WW had any bad season at all, and only parts of the last season of B5 annoyed me with Cpt. Lockley... I also admit I was quite interested in Big Love... It'll be interesting to see what they do when that comes back...

The "Fucked by FOX" crowd:
Firefly, fer shur
Kindred: The Embraced
Drive had solid potential (pulled after two episodes? really, guys?)
Sliders (pre-Sci-Fi Channel)

The toons:
DuckTales
Gargoyles
The Tick

I remember Sliders! It was kinda dumb, but entertaining. Hell, it had John Rhys-Davies! He adds to the awesome factor of ANY movie or TV show.

Yes! And the wicked cute Sabrina Lloyd, who then co-starred in another one for this list - Sports Night. Then she was on the first season of one of my current faves, NUMB3RS, but disappeared by the second season with no explanation that I remember :(

My "you've got mail" notification back when I had AOL was "Hey! A letter! Somebody loves Die Fledermaus!" And "SPOOOOOON!" was my shutdown sound.

I'd say Firefly, and Mission: Impossible (the series), but only the version with Peter Graves, Martin Landau, and Barbara Bain (two seasons).
