1. I had an excellent stitch 'n' bitch last night with

roaming, to list them alphabetically. I had to frog (that is, rip out) some of the skirt I was working on, but by now, I'm back to where I had been, and it looks a heck of a lot better than it did before. We had a nice dinner and hot cocoa, too.

2. I made fruitcake today! It's sitting in zipper bags, and will get basted with brandy every day or every other day, whichever seems best texture-wise. It smells like heaven in loaf form.

pierceheart is cooking dinner tonight! Pad Thai, same as he made me on our first date. :)

4. I bought some more Yule tree ornaments today. I got some of the old-fashioned painted metallic glass balls with a sort of dimple in them. My mom has antique ones of those for her tree, and these were nostalgic for me. I also got some glass cardinals, acorns, colored birds, and a silver dove with a quote from the Song of Solomon about winter being past. Oh, and a nutcracker in a sort of police uniform with a sword and

pierceheart's name on the front, because it made me giggle. :) I got a tree skirt too, in dark red and green velvet. Yay! Tree tomorrow! I need lights, too. It's going to go in the dining room.
