California stole my friends
Aug. 20th, 2003 03:48 pmGrr. Two good friends are blithely jetting off to California in the near future to live. Seamus and Jay are both going bye-bye. I knew about Sea for a long time, but I just found out about Jay today. Bugger. Well anyway, the news makes me glad that certain things turned out the way they did in my life. It's like missing your flight and getting pissed until you see the news that it's crashed. Hehe. Disaster avoision! (Word courtesy of Kent Brockman).
Still, it's kinda depressing. I hate losing friends to distance, and it's really really hard to keep it from happening.

Making new friends doesn't replace old ones, but they are still friends to have. The more friends you make, the more you can make (the idea that caring about people is not subtractive, but multiplicative)
