Guess who's working from home tomorrow?

Oh yeah. :) My manager told me not to come in, and said I was free to work from home. She also said that if I had trouble getting set up to work from home, that I should take the day off. Yes! I tried setting up everything just now, but am having trouble downloading a file I need to be able to access our prospect info database. I dashed off an e-mail to our IT folks to ask them what I need to do. So, I am definitely making an effort. I'll do an evaluation or two, and probably give myself a slightly long lunch break, to go pick up a few things at Assembly Square. :)

Right now I am drinking a margarita and watching House in my pjs. Life is good.

Oh if only you had said this before you left work; I would have told you how to setup your work computer so that you could remote control it, and work from home as if you were sitting at your desk... Also if you have the VOIP phones in your office you can get an app to connect your computer (home, or laptop) over the internet to get and make your phone calls from your office number.... (You can also access your work V-Mail by the web, or have it forward to your e-mail as an MP3)...

Telecommuting is getting pretty darn good these days :-) Add a web cam to video conference with your cow-orkers and it's better than being there, 'cause they'll never know you don't have pants on...

I actually have instructions for getting the VPN client set up and everything, but this one link is giving me trouble. I can even access our fileserver. So, the one thing I DON'T have is the database. Well, that and the file saved on my desktop, which is easily duplicated. I think that should be quickly solved, though. My IT people are good. :)
