Vacation!

As of 4:15 pm this afternoon, I am on vacation! After work, I went to Borders to pick up some last-minute stuff for my mom. She wanted classic old movies on DVD. I got her Citizen Kane, which she'd mentioned specifically, and a box set of Bogie and Bacall flicks, since they didn't have Casablanca in stock. Hope she likes them.

I miss my little fishcake already. I got a coworker to volunteer to change the water in his tank next Monday, though, which shouldn't be too bad. That means he'll get a water change at least weekly. Since he'll only be eating that one time, too, he won't be getting the water as dirty. Apparently, bettas can live a couple weeks without food, no problem. I figure feeding him once will be good, though. Poor little fish. I hope he'll be ok.

I'm going to miss my Woogie too. Lucy is going to be very whiny and needy when we come back Saturday, that's for damn sure. But she'll be ok with plenty of food and water left out for her. Pity we can't bring her with us, but that just wouldn't work.

This evening, I am wrapping presents and drinking port while watching Torchwood episodes. I don't know if I'll actually pack tonight or tomorrow, but at least I know what I'm wearing tomorrow night. That's always the tough part.

I really need to start watching old Torchwood episodes. We just got into Doctor Who this year and now I'm hooked.

I was pissed when Christopher Eccleston left DW after only one season. He's awesome. And very hot. I don't like David Tennant as much, though he's finally started to grow on me a little in season 4, as he becomes a bit more badass and intense.

Oh I have the major hots for DT. not sure exactly what it is, something about his hair and eyes, I think combined with that coat. Oh gods, sorry *wiping drool off her journal* lol

He's too scrawny-geeky for me, though he does have pretty eyes. I like Chris Eccleston's eyes and hands and legs. And the leather jacket. :)

Yeah for vacation. I managed to get out by 5:15, only 45 minutes later than I wanted which is a good record for me. I stay late at work way too often. I am going to do my best to forget about it until January!!

No, but we left her for the same amount of time at Thanksgiving with no trouble. I just give her plenty of extra food and water and make sure her litter box is spotless before I leave.
