Pluses and minuses

+/- This is both good and bad: I have a two-day "retreat" thing with my department on Thursday and Friday. Good because it's not actual work (not in my office, either) and we also get fed. Bad because it's a lot of listening to people talk and because there's work I need to do.

pierceheart and I have reservations at Craigie On Main for my birthday dinner. It's the new location of Craigie Street Bistrot. It's supposed to be very good. Check out the menu! Also look at their cocktail menu. Very inventive. I am totally psyched. I thought about Harvest instead, but they seem to be getting very mixed reviews lately. It sounds like although they have great ideas on their menu, the actual execution of the dishes leaves something to be desired. Too bad.
+ We're working our way through season 2 of Battlestar Galactica now. Damn, that show is full of drama and action. Nifty. Never a dull moment.
+ Wednesday, I need to get my butt out to Woolcott & Co. to use that gift card my manager gave me. That means that I need to make some plans about what I want to knit. This will be a gift, not something for me.
Boy, this is really mostly positives today. Let's hope it continues.
