Yesterday's workout.

To start with, I walked from work to Trader Joe's, and came back with two heavy bags, while on my lunch break (about .84 miles, total).

Then, after work, I walked from my building (right next to the Cambridge Hyatt on Memorial Drive) over the BU Bridge to Espresso Royale Cafe on Comm Ave., where I was going to get a bagel with cream cheese and veggies for dinner. When I got to the register, I realized I didn't have my wallet. I knew right away I'd left it in my Trader Joe's bag at work. I walked BACK to work, where I had to wait for someone coming out to let me in (building locks at 5:30, I didn't have my ID). I got my wallet and walked back over the bridge to Comm Ave., where I went to the Campus Convenience store and got some sushi (total of the three trips = about 1.8 miles).

Then I went to the room where I had dance, ate my sushi, and moved all of the desks in the room so we'd have room to dance.

THEN we did dance class.

Then I took the T to Wellington and walked home from there (about 0.9 miles).

I was bloody tired when I got home, let me tell you.

*Excuse me while I clean up the coffee spill here...
Hopefully there were other articles of warm clothing, otherwise that would go a long way to explain a lot of the bad traffic snarls in that area... ;-)

So I've heard from someone who had to walk across it at 7am on/about 21 December 2004.

I don't make it sit up and beg, but I can usually bend it to my will... Whats up?

I figured it out, see my latest post:

i was trying to make the arisia schedule from pubs useful - right now, as a csv, it's just a big list of times.

I've seen those. Since I started using the reusable shopping bags, it hasn't been so bad. They don't cut into my hands as much. Especially not when I'm also wearing gloves!

They say the average European walks 3+ miles a day. I've probably been averaging that, with some 4-6 mile days a couple times a week. At first it knocked me on my ass. My hamstrings felt like concrete rubber bands. I got used to it though, and now I'm borderline addicted to walking everywhere and really prefer not to be in a car.
