I'd think you could get something nice and very similar costing a lot less than $200! You're paying for the name. Which makes me go "Ugh." pun intended :-)
Lemme tell ya: that sheepskin is the BEST THING EVAR if you want warm tootsies. Other brands do make sheepskin boots, but the wellies lined with it are JUST what I need for cold + slushy weather! If I have those, I don't need to choose between keeping my feet warm and keeping them dry in the winter. I don't like paying for a brand name, but when that brand name comes with exactly the product I want and others don't, I suck it up eventually. :)
True. I'm in my third year with my current Uggs, which I haven't been treating as well as I should. Given the usual lifespan of my shoes, that's darn good. :) It's the Sam Vimes "Boots" Theory of Economic Unfairness at work, yo! (Discworld reference, pardon my geeking!)
