Things and stuff
Feb. 13th, 2009 08:54 am1. So...it appears that with the very kind help of
zzbottom, my "personal ad posted to the Universe" has been answered by several very nifty people. :) Now, I'm not sure where things will go with these guys, but one thing's for certain: I think it's very likely that I will be turning some acquaintances into real friends, at least, and making some entirely new friends too. That in and of itself will be a cool and welcome thing. Also, it appears that I have found someone who shares my love of skee-ball (besides, of course, God). Good to know I'm not the only one. :)
2. The above-mentioned stuff has put me in a very good mood, and if my skin were made for blushing, I'm sure I would have blushed several times..
3. ***I'm heading out to the Flea this evening. I'm still looking for dinner companions for tonight! I SUPPOSE it's theoretically possible for me to go to Trinity for dinner by myself, but I'd so much rather share the experience of their awesome booze with someone else. Any takers? Or does anyone have dinner plans elsewhere in Providence in which I might be included? I'm set for Saturday night, but tonight is still up in the air.***
4. I'm going out to lunch with the team at work today. Chinese. I'm going to order the steamed stuff. Oy. And, like most places, they don't season their steamed stuff, apparently (no salt, no sugar, no MSG, and no mention of sauce of any kind). I blended some spices to bring with me (ginger, garlic, coriander, Szechuan pepper, and some orange peel), and will use them with a little soy sauce to jazz up the meal.
5. It's really awesome how much more the red in my fish's fins shows up when I turn on the light in his tank. He is really unbelievably pretty. What's more, he KNOWS it. Oh, look, he's building a bubble nest again! Aw. My little guy wants babies! No, Moby Dick, I am NOT breeding you. End of story.
