What's happened since high school

I got this idea from disownedheidi. Here's a rough timeline of what's happened in my life since I graduated from high school. A lot's missing, in particular the details of a number of relationships I've had, but I've not forgotten about them.

1997 - Graduated from high school. Worked at K-Mart over the summer, then started college at George Washington University, majoring in international affairs. Lost virginity to first boyfriend.

1998 - Continued college education. Became a legal adult. Started dyeing hair dark auburn. Temped at CVS HQ over the summer.

1999 - Continued college. Went to Galway, Ireland in the fall to study abroad. Met first Pagan group and had first group rituals. Got suddenly dumped by boyfriend, who said he'd married someone else. Yeah, it was weird. Ended up briefly hooking up with a friend later on. Temped again in the summer.

2000 - Still in Galway until summer. Got tongue pierced. Saw Einsturzende Neubauten 20th anniversary show in Berlin. Came back to the US in the summer and temped .

2001 - Turned 21. Dated a guy I never should have dated, a NoVa local. Good musician, bad match for me. Graduated from college and got accepted to grad school at BU for journalism. Left the boyfriend when I moved to Boston, and got an apartment in Brighton with two other BU grad students.

2002 - Graduated from BU. Couldn't find a journalism job in Boston or in DC, where I was considering moving to be with the guy I'd hooked up with in late '99, who I'd started dating seriously (though long distance). Got my tattoo. Moved back in with parents and temped at CVS. Boyfriend got deployed to Germany, then Kuwait--at which point we parted amicably.

2003 - Moved back to Boston, getting a job at Computer Trust Corp., a tiny medical software company. Got my navel pierced. Got...other bits pierced. Lived in an apartment in Brighton with a friend. Met and started dating pierceheart. Lots of ups and downs in there. Started studying with a coven. The boy got deployed to Iraq at the end of the year.

2004 - Dealt with a long-distance relationship where things sort of needed rebuilding from the ground up. It wasn't easy. Started dating other guys, all decent folks, some of whom are still close friends. Got...other bits p

2005 - Started really, really hating my job at CTC. Began dating dahveed76. Moved to Somerville, where I lived with fangirl715.The boy came home in March, which was awesome. He lived with me for a few months before finding his own apartment.

2006 - Finally quit job at CTC in February. Temped at various places, slowly going broke but no longer full of anxiety and fear. Ended up temping at MIT, and eventually got a permanent job there in September.

2007 - Got promoted to researcher at MIT. Started dating zzbottom. All in all a good year.

2008 - Moved in with pierceheart in the summer, around our five-year anniversary. We got an apartment together in a cute part of Somerville. dahveed76 moved to San Francisco, and things with zzbottom ended, amicably. Some down-in-the-dumps time.

2009 - So far, so good. Have opened up to dating other people again, and have been on a fun first date. Am enjoying living with my boy. Life is generally quite nice. :)

I really want some good software that'll let me make a timeline of my life and look at things by overlapping "tracks": where I lived, what I was doing for money, bands I was booking, people I was dating, travel, etc.
