Hopefully, I will go home this evening to a working fridge and heating system. The heat started doing that "heating uncontrollably even when it's set at 60 or lower" thing again last night. Apparently, the problem is NOT just the thermostat. Gah. This was realized just after the landlord came by. He measured the fridge, told us he'd bring a new one by the next day (today) during the afternoon. We ended up leaving a note on the fridge about the heat.

So, we are down to less than six hours in the eBay auction for the pink and gold dress, and so far, no other bids. Dare I hope I might get this? That would be severely cool.

Date soon. I will be leaving work in about 15 minutes, and will go meet JB at South Station. We'll figure out dinner plans, then I'll walk him through getting a CharlieCard. *does happy dance*

Suggest to landlord that it's not the thermostat - tell him it is likely the relay.

If he can't figure it out, he needs to get an HVAC technician out there.

Charlie Card (http://www.mbta.com/fares_and_passes/charlie/), a reusable fare system device for the local subway - works as a stored value card OR a monthly pass card, in a proximity card (place it against the reader) set up, unlike the Charlie Tickets, which are a magstripe/swipe card, like the old DC Metro Cards (I believe Metro has gone to a proximity card as well), but TICKETS pay more for each ride, vice Cards.
