Life is pretty much all-around good.

1. Had a great date last night. I brought Knithulhu with me to the train station when I met JB there, and he was thrilled. I cooked us a nice dinner of pomegranate-glazed pan-roasted duck breast, roasted garlic mash, and caprese salad. Apparently JB hadn't had a home-cooked meal in months, so it was very well received. Sometime around 11 or so we were lying in bed and discussing the zombie apocalypse (what, doesn't everyone have these conversations?) and I realized I had a zombie outbreak survival kit sitting in my drawer and going to waste. Now it has a home. :D

2. If you haven't seen the YouTube video of a frumpy, dumpy British woman opening her mouth to sing on stage and astounding a bunch of cynical, shallow twits who'd been laughing at her looks, go see it. Damn. I love watching the expressions change.

3. This evening while I am in Davis Square, I believe I'll stop by the grand re-opening of Dave's Fresh Pasta to see what's going on. And maybe pick up dinner!

4. Then, I shall begin the quiching. :)

If I didn't have a cold I'd have taken the excuse to go to Davis. How was Dave's?

It was good! I tried some luscious cheeses, some tasty little meatballs, some nice wine, and some very good bread. The store looked nice. A lot of what was there is stuff you can find elsewhere, but the selection was good.

Oh my GOODNESS!! I had tears in my eyes while watching her sing. I think that's one of the most crystalline, flawless voices I've ever heard. No matter how much of that was staged or not, it was mindblowing.
