Apr. 23rd, 2009 09:28 am1. I completely forgot about the existence of the Whole Foods on River Street. It's much, much closer to me than the one on Prospect, and it's right by a Rite Aid, too. I went to explore WF yesterday on my break. I ended up buying salmon candy (a sweet, yummy in-house smoked salmon), some Midnight Moon cheese from Cypress Grove Chevre (an aged goat cheese, nutty and delicious), some milk for the chowder I was making for dinner, and a kilo of Fage 0%! I was like Pippin in The Fellowship of the Ring: "It comes in KILOS?!" AWESOME.
2. Life is good. Life is really awesome. I am a very happy and lucky girl. :) Few things are nicer than when shortly after you've bid one wonderful guy goodbye in the morning, another wonderful guy texts you to say good morning and that he loves you!
3. I was reading a post by
deadwinter on Facebook yesterday, and who should comment on it but a coworker of mine? Now, granted, if you asked me which of my coworkers was most likely to know any of my friends, I'd have picked her without hesitation. Still, it was a surprise. But I friended her on there now. She's a pretty cool person as far as I can tell, and my Facebook page is tamer than my LJ profile and the like, so I have no qualms about that. *looks up some more stuff on Facebook* Oh gods, my manager is on there too! I could add her as a friend. I'm not sure how much I want to use Facebook for work-networking stuff... I'll have to ponder that.
4. Blazing Saddles? Damn funny. I didn't much care for the end, but all in all, there were many giggles.

Date: 2009-04-23 03:33 pm (UTC)This weekend I will likely make a post about all this on LJ, b/c I'd like to hear opinions about how people use Facebook and deal with personal/private/family/professional all merging like that as is the likely outcome of getting on Facebook.

I really didn't see what he was on about.
I just feel that it's a pretty weak ending.

Date: 2009-04-24 01:29 pm (UTC)Although that part of the ending *is* catchy...
(And I always saw it as making fun of Busby Berkeley movies, myself.)
