With parents:
1. Apartment in Woonsocket, RI as a baby.
2. Duplex in Lincoln, RI until age 8.
3. Single family in Warwick, RI until age 10.
4. Single family in Lincoln, RI until age 18 or 23, depending on how you look at it.
Without parents but spending summers and vacations in Lincoln with the parents:
1. Four-person dorm room at George Washington University for freshman year.
2. Two-person dorm room at GWU for sophomore year.
3. Four-person flat in Corrib Village at NUI Galway for junior year.
4. Single dorm room at GWU for senior year.
5. 3-person apartment in Brighton, MA for grad school (went back to parents' place after for a little while)
Without parents, full-year:
1. February 2003-February 2005: 2-person apartment in Brighton w/ roommate
2. February 2005-August 2008: 2-person apartment in Davis Square area, Somerville, MA w/ roommate
3. August 2008-present: 2-person apartment in Ten Hills, Somerville w/ boyfriend
My favorite is my current place. It's the first place I've lived without my parents that actually feels like a home, somewhere a grownup lives, somewhere I can have guests and be proud of my place. My least favorite? Probably the apartment in Brighton that I went to after moving out of my parents' place for good. It was conveniently located, yeah, but it was falling apart at the seams and very, very ugly. I was desperate to get out of there.
