At least this weekend's weather is supposed to be pleasant.

So, last night, I watched this movie called Igor, which is cute as hell. I mean, it has the voices of John Cleese, Eddie Izzard, and John Cusack! How can it not be awesome? For all you lovers of mad science, I recommend this one.

I have been lax on my bentos lately. I've made one this week, but it didn't count because it was just leftover Indian piled into one tier and leftover jicama salad piled into the other. I skipped a day of bentoing last week, too, and then we had the long weekend. Must make more bentos! I miss them!

I'm going to a reiki workshop on Saturday. That should be interesting. I'm also going to a friend's baby shower! Squee! The real challenge will be getting around. Dedham first, then Melrose? And me with no car? I wonder if anyone else is going to both events.

I'm interested to know if you like the Reiki thing. A former colleague of mine was taking classes in it and said she liked it, but I haven't heard from her in ages. Healing=good, however it happens, so if you feel all healed and stuff, do tell!

My foster son and his family are big anime fans.

The kids noticed the bentos in a couple of their favorite animations.

Asked their mom if they could have that for lunch.

So she ordered the bento containers online and started buying stuff that would work for the concept.

They have been a big hit at the kids elementary school, now other kids are asking their parents for them. And she is not such a big hit with the other mothers in their little mid Texas hill country town.

The hit I caused at F's school is wrap-n-mats. He has food allergies, so I use it for his sandwiches, and he puts all his lunch on it. The kids started asking their mothers for it, and now many have their own little mat for their lunch.
