I just realized that five people on my friends list are Capricorns, and another five are Cancers. This does not include me (another Cap). I find this amusing. :)
I wish you had showed up last week. There was this 17-year-old kid there who just wanted us (me and Cassie) to tell him what books to read, and even asked if we had some xeroxed information we could give him. I told him we're not big on tracts. :) He also wanted us to give him our old books. Yeah, right. He had absolutely no clue whatsoever, and really seemed to not want to talk about Wicca. I would bring up a topic, and he would change the subject to music or something. He seemed to think it was weird that we got together to actually discuss things to do with Wicca at a Wicca discussion. I wanted to whack him over the head with an olive loaf.
ah, see, i could have chattered on and on about music. so sorry i couldn't have been there. but, asking for used books, etc. - i would have pounded him. honey, books are cheap. and travelling this path requires EFFORT - the gods don't want no lazybones.
i was off meeting my potential dr guy, who, turns out, is lovely, cute, smart, observant, and he brought his girlfriend (it was an alum event, so the more the merrier). *SIGH*
I can understand not being able to afford full-price books if you're a high school kid. But I told him to go to Seven Stars and check out their used stuff, and I mentioned the Corner Bookstore in Salem, where everything is always on sale.
So who is this guy of whom you speak? Sounds pretty nifty. :)
bleh, the guy is nothing. twas merely hope on my part that a note outta the blue from someone w/ a tenuous connection might turn into something lovely.
reminds me, i should send him a note. hey, would like to be friendly, and who knows, the girlfriend might fall off the edge of the world. i won't push, would never do that. just around in case. options open.
I have to apologize about that one... He wrote to us (you know who us is) not knowing which way was up, and we suggested books and that he get on the BPARap list and S&C to see what was what.
