It went pretty well! They didn't scold me. They said she is healthy but could stand to lose a pound and a half. She already eats only the amount for a cat 4 pounds lighter than her (and even then, not always the full amount), so I figure more exercise is what's needed. Must get that laser pointer out more often, and see if I can find the infamous Button On A String. She also could use a dental cleaning sometime this year. She got her nails trimmed, too! She hissed only when they cut her nails (so they wrapped her in a towel). She struggled a bit the rest of the time, but in general was OK. No biting attempts, no going to the bathroom all over anyone. Not even the inside of the cat carrier.
I did end up walking with her. The cloud cover kept it fairly cool, so I figured it would be ok. She meowed a lot, yeah, but the awful pitiful yowls she lets out in the car only came for a very short time, while we were crossing Mystic Ave. on the way there and back. She didn't like the look of cars rushing by while we waited to cross.
So now she has her shots and is doing just fine. She's flopped on the floor in the living room, being indignant and relieved at the same time. She's cute. :)
