Terry Pratchett has written an appeal to lawmakers in the UK to change the laws regarding assisted suicide.

"But I also intend, before the endgame looms, to die sitting in a chair in my own garden with a glass of brandy in my hand and Thomas Tallis on the iPod - the latter because Thomas's music could lift even an atheist a little bit closer to Heaven - and perhaps a second brandy if there is time.

Oh, and since this is England I had better add: 'If wet, in the library.'"

Sounds perfect. (And I don't drink brandy!) I often tell Tom not to drag me to a hospital when I'm old. I want to die at HOME! If we can get a man to the moon (as the saying goes), why can't we make our last days more in our control?

Say. . . .I just noticed that it says "Cup of Wonder" before your "Badseed" moniker. Did it always say that and I'm THAT clueless? AND I presume it's for Tull's Cup of Wonder, which is one of my fav songs from my absolutely fav cd!

It used to say "A Rude Tableau", which is an anagram of my name. But I changed it a while ago. Yes, it's from that song, also one of my favorites. :)
