Today I'd come to the conclusion that I was going to have to euthanize my poor little fishie, Moby Dick, who's been listless and hasn't eaten for two weeks straight, and hasn't responded to treatment for internal parasites. However, the fabulous

witchyspyce has suggested it might be an internal bacterial infection, and since I'm going to be gone from the area this weekend and then again Tuesday through Thursday, she has volunteered to take him home with her and treat him with a medication for bacterial infections to see if that helps. If not, she'll euthanize him herself. But maybe it will work! I have constructed a Fish Ambulance (aka a pint yogurt container, washed out, with air holes in the lid) to bring him by her office after I get out of work. She has a spare tank at home to keep him in for the time being while she attempts to treat him.

I hope he lives! My little fishie is too young and cute to die!
