Oct. 14th, 2009 09:22 amFirst off:
Happy birthday,
dalious!
And then, some general stuff.
1. I made turkey soup last night. I didn't want to be simmering for hours and hours to make stock, so I bought some boxed chicken stock. Not broth, but stock. I used turkey thighs for the meat, and added carrots, celery, and onion. Ate that with some roasted delicata squash. Now I have plenty of leftovers for tonight.
2. J is sick, so if he does make it up tonight, turkey soup will be a good thing to have. If he doesn't, well, I'll take the time this evening to run some errands, and won't have to cook when I get home. Go me!
3. MUST. DIET. Seriously. This is getting ludicrous and disgusting. Weddings and ren faire just made things worse. Today is oatmeal for breakfast with fat free Greek yogurt, for a total of 4 WW points, chicken gyoza bento for lunch (3.5 points), an orange for dessert/snack (1 point), and then dinner will be soup and salad or squash. I might have another snack in there somewhere. I walked to Sullivan this morning, and will probably walk again at lunch. I want to lose weight before the holidays.
4. My cat is so damn cute. I love her to bits. She snuggled with me all night. Awwwww.
EDIT: Looks like poor J is REALLY sick. He won't be coming up tonight. Poor guy. Sounds like he might have strep, even. I hope not. :(
