It's a lovely Monday morning. I know, you hate me, right? Well, I'm just glad to be out and about and DOING things again. I have been so cooped up. I walked to Sullivan this morning, and loved every minute of being outside. I came in to work to find a big ol' new computer sitting on my desk. Shiny! This thing is HUGE.
I made bread yesterday, and brought it in to work today to share. This is the best loaf I have ever made! It's crusty, tender on the inside without being either too crumbly or too chewy, and perfectly flavored. The differences from my usual were that I used half white flour instead of all whole wheat, I used a different brand of yeast, and I used the optional nonfat dry milk powder in the recipe, which I hadn't previously had on hand before. OM NOM NOM. I should have made more than one loaf. I think I need a bigger bowl for that, though. Hmm. I really want another piece...

I desperately needed contact with the earth and the nearness to those glorious trees. I didn't want to leave when it came time to.
