Real vampires don't sparkle!

So, commuting this morning was...interesting. First of all, I didn't fall asleep again after pierceheart left for work, so I just got up a little more than half an hour early and made myself a bento for lunch. I walked to Sullivan before it started raining too hard. I got on the bus as usual. We got to the Hampshire St. stop, made our stop there, and started pulling out to go again. Then something thumped the side of the bus. I never actually saw what happened--I think a bike hit us. Anyway, whatever it was, we had to stop and wait. And wait. And wait. Some people got off the bus to walk, but it was raining hard enough that I decided not to do that. Then, finally, the bus after ours came up. Our driver flagged it down and most of us got off our bus and piled onto that one. It was sardines in there. I was over half an hour later to work than usual. Crazy.

Yesterday on my lunch break, I took a walk to the Indian grocery in Central Square. I got ghee, curry leaves, and cumin seeds (of which I had been running out), inspired by this recipe. I'm going to do some sort of riff on that for dinner tonight. NOM. I'm really looking forward to some Indian cooking and some knitting tonight!

Yum, that recipe looks divine! I recently used curry leaves for the first time when I made Uppukari, a Southern Indian mutton dish. It was absolutely delicious.
