Apr. 1st, 2004 10:09 amA very good morning to all of you!
Actually, it's a pretty crappy morning, to be totally honest. Cold, wet, and dreary. The emotional weather report is just fine, though.
I skipped dance again last night. I was freezing, soaked, and sniffly when I got to South Station with Mike after we had dinner. All I wanted was to sit down and relax with a nice cup of tea. So I went home and did so. I let Mike try my curry, and he liked it, which was gratifying. I got to cuddle with my cat, and a bit with Mike, and had a nice tea made with spearmint, liquorice root, orange peel, and lavender. Mmm. Sweet.
On nights like last night, I love to watch or read some lovely work of fantasy like Labyrinth, Legend, or Neil Gaiman's beautifully illustrated (by Charles Vess) Stardust. I do that, I drink herbal tea, and I take a nice long hot shower. Nothing is better. It gives me the feeling that I'm somewhere apart from the mundane world. While the world outside is cold and dark and soggy, I'm inside, surrounded by comfort and beauty. I love it.
Tonight, alas, I must do laundry, which will be a bit of a pain if it's still raining out. Not much is more mundane than laundry. But at least the smell of the laundromat is nice, and clean clothes are good to have.
Ok, now to get started on some work. Must update the sales progress report!
