Got my eye on a few shinies. I just wish I could tell for sure whether I'd need a DD or a DDD in the sizes from this place! They say they base the cup size on a 36" band. I almost feel like I should go try on a bunch of 36" band bras to see if the cups are better for me on a DD or a DDD. I seem to remember my old 36DD bra had no overflow issues, but that the middle of the bra didn't rest against my ribcage, indicating too small cups. But I don't know if that might just have been the bra's shape. I wish they posted cup dimensions in the descriptions!

Also, WHY is it that almost every single affordable costume in my size on this site is PINK? I mean, I have nothing against pink. I own pink clothes. I find it to be a rather flattering color for me. But...this is a big purchase. I'd like more choice available. Especially since my top color choices do not include pink.

OK, so there's also one available in either black (pretty, but I am getting SICK OF BLACK), or royal blue (so not a good color for me). But that's about it. I'm leaning towards the costume that's the most purplish of the pinks. They call it purple. It looks like fuchsia with purple accents.

while i agree that pink would look good on you, i also agree that there shoudl be more choices.

Yeah, the fuchsia costume I'm admiring is actually quite nice. I would LOVE bright red, or burgundy, or maybe a nice rich moss green, but the fuchsia is pretty, and I may end up finding a way to put together a red costume, if the place where I'm thinking of buying a dance bra has a fabric in the right color, which they might. (And before you tell me I should make one myself or have someone make it, these things are wicked cheap and ready quickly, as well as being well-made! :P)

i will tell you t o make skirts, dresses, and many other things.... but i have made dance bras....
if its within my budget to buy it, i will. i suspect i woudl rather try my hand at making corsets again rather than do another dance bra (shudder)

These bras are not REAL bras in terms of support, though, so they aren't that complicated. They go OVER a real bra. They're more like a cropped stretchy tank top with a pinched front. But really, they're $14. I'd spend at least half that much on fabric alone, then I'd have to buy a pattern too, and the amount I'd save (if any) would in no way be worth the frustration. :)

Some of their stuff is pricey, but even in my size, there's a decent amount that's no more expensive than those custom bras. And if you like something you buy there, you can probably find more of the same bra online for cheaper.
