Feeling sheepish
Apr. 6th, 2004 02:55 pm1) Grab the book nearest to you, turn to page 18, find line 4. Write down what it says:
"No ordinary book. This is the only copy. It has taken me
2) Stretch your left arm out as far as you can. What do you touch first?
My phone
3) What is the last thing you watched on TV?
Law and Order, seeing as it's on all bloody night practically.
4) WITHOUT LOOKING, guess what the time is.
2:49pm
5) Now look at the clock, what is the actual time?
2:48pm. I'm usually good at that.
6) With the exception of the computer, what can you hear?
Jen typing on her computer. And the refrigerator
7) When did you last step outside? what were you doing?
I just got back from dropping a huge bulk mailing off at the post office. Oooh, achy shoulders wanting a massage!
8) Before you came to this website, what did you look at?
Yahoo! Mail
9) What are you wearing?
Knit ribbed shirt in shades of wine and mauve, dark blue jeans (Boss is out today), white socks, and brown leather boots
10) Did you dream last night?
Yes, I dreamed that I woke up and didn't know where I was. Or maybe I really woke up and didn't know where I was.
11) When did you last laugh?
When Jen and I were cracking wise on our way back from the post office
12) What is on the walls of the room you are in?
Pictures from sites where we're installed, a big map with pins in for our client sites, a framed copy of our advertisement, framed pathology reports made with our system...
13) Seen anything weird lately?
Weird-looking prom gowns in a store window. A poster for a movie about the Alamo. Hell, we already know how it ends!
14) Last movie you saw?
Hidalgo. Yum, Viggo Mortensen! And I watched it with another cutie! Double the fun. :)
15) If you became a multi-millionaire overnight, what would you buy first?
Pay off the student loans, then get a fabu new apartment (big, new two bedroom with a huge bathroom and nice tub). Then all the presents to others and philanthropy.
16) Tell me something about you that I don't know
I earned my second degree brown belt in American Kenpo karate, a style which while not strictly traditional is extremely efficient and non-showy.
17) If you could change one thing about the world, regardless of guilt or politics, what would you do?
I would cure all mental illness and end fanaticism, two things that I often have a hard time separating.
18) Do you like to dance?
Shimmy shimmy, baby! :)
19) George Bush: is he a power-crazy nutcase or some one who is finally doing something that has needed to be done for years?
Total nutcase. Fruit loop. Wacko. Scary bastard.
20) Imagine your first child is a girl, what do you call her?
Stella would be lovely, or maybe Venus. Or maybe Sioux. I could nickname her Siouxie. :)
21) [Same question for a boy]
I love Julian, and Connor, and Dylan.
22) Would you ever consider living abroad?
Well, I've liked it before. I don't know if I'd permanently want to live abroad unless the United States lost everything I like about it and became the dystopia it sometimes threatens to become. Maybe I'd go to Ireland again.
