+ Successfully downloaded Audacity and LAME encoder

- Kitchen faucet's hot tap developed a bad drip, and the shutoff valve under the sink doesn't work

+ Managed to get landlord to come over quickly

+ Landlord fixed leaking pipe in basement

- Landlord did NOT attend to kitchen sink. *#@&%!

+ Cut and pasted with Audacity to create a recital track with taxim intro and "Soode Soode"

+ Successfully exported that file as an MP3 and saved it in my iTunes

- Failed in my attempts to put on false eyelashes. Again. Ruined them, in the process.

+ Realized that my purple eyeshadow and purple glitter liner are going to be AWESOME for the recital

+ Mapped out "Soode Soode" (measure-by-measure structure of song with intro, verses, choruses, and instrumental breaks)

- Decided our 8" and 10" nonstick pans really are crap and must be thrown out.

+ Found out our 8" cast iron skillet can turn out a good 2-egg omelet, eliminating the need to replace the 8" nonstick pan.

+ Found a 20% off coupon for Bed, Bath, & Beyond which hasn't yet expired, and which can be used on a new 10" nonstick skillet.

Yes, roll your eyes at me if you want for the nonstick. I do a lot of lower-fat cooking. I DO have a 12" cast iron skillet, so for anything where I don't want nonstick, I've got that.

Incidentally: would anyone local to me like a stainless steel, copper-bottomed 8" pan? We really never use it, since we have the cast iron, but it's in perfectly good shape. The handle is plastic, and it has a loop that you can use to hang it on a hook. Let me know if anyone's interested.

That copper bottomed pan has all the earmarks of a Revereware pan. At this time, we don't need another one.

We use non-stick pans all the time--even have plastic/teflon-coated utensils to use with it.

Yup, it is indeed a Revereware pan. Quite a decent item, but when I'm not using nonstick, I like the cast iron for almost everything else.

and I'm not at all local to you, I think. You're in the East? I'm on the Left coast.

Yeah, I'm near Boston. Never even been to the west coast. :)

Seriously? Hmm. Good to know. Maybe next time I have an expired one and a good one at the same time, I'll try the expired one first. If it doesn't work, I can always go, "Oops, try this one."

BBB is less than a ten minute walk from my apartment, but I usually only shop there if I either 1) have a coupon, or 2) can't find what I need cheaper in Home Goods.
