Another night of weird dreams

I can't remember all of them. I do remember the one that was about bird sex.

Yes.

It was two birds that looked something like mourning doves or small pigeons, I think: a larger one, male, and a smaller one, female. The male started doing that weird bird-boogie dance thing that male pigeons do to impress the ladies, and then ended up mounting the female. Only seconds later, the female laid several eggs. It was like I was watching a nature show, but in person. Why the fuck do I dream these things?

I also dreamed that one of my coworkers was my roommate, and he was interested in dating my sister. I had to explain that while I thought he was a perfectly nice guy and didn't mind the idea of him dating my sister, HE might find that he minded it very much once he got to know her better.

The bird thing reminds me of a very funny passage in God Bless the Sweet Potato Queens about scientists who glued single feathers on the foreheads of male zebra finches because the female finches went hog-wild for guys with feathers on their foreheads. Turned 'em into wanton little finchettes; the male finches couldn't wait for glue time :-)
