Recital recap
May. 2nd, 2010 04:56 pmIt's hot as hell and I'm sick as a dog, but I still had fun at my recital! Everyone looked great. My classmates were, as usual, superb and gorgeous. My mom was sweet enough to bring me a big bunch of lilacs from her garden (awww), and my lovely boyfriend was patient and helpful in getting me and my stuff there. My dad took tons of pictures, which I will post when he makes them available.
My piece seemed to go over well. No one else did anything Armenian or even Turkish that I can recall, so it was a bit of a novelty, while still being solidly within American Cabaret tradition. My costume worked out just fine, staying in place with no trouble. Now I'm home, sweating and languishing a bit. Not too much though: I need to put stuff away before we go out to dinner (because it's too hot and I'm too sick to cook, and I don't think the man is up to it tonight either).
Then I go boom. And hope I can get some decent sleep tonight. For a change.
