...where every time I listen to the Einstürzende Neubauten cover of "Sand," I just want to listen to it over and over and over again. It's a Nancy Sinatra/Lee Hazlewood song originally, but in the EN cover, Blixa Bargeld sings both parts. It just blows me away: strange, eerie, and unbelievably sexy. The original is nice, but oh my gods, when he sings it...

So, what songs do YOU put on repeat?

Aesthetic Perfection's "Shout"
Johnny Cash's cover of "Run On/God's Gonna Cut You Down"
Marilyn Manson's "Doll-Dagga-Buzz-Buzz-Ziggity-Zaz" (a surprisingly awesome swing song)

"...Forgive them even if they are not sorry..."

At this moment, I am crushing on Julian Casablancas' "11th Dimension." I have also been taking trips down memory lane with Linkin Park's "Nobody's Listening."

If I'm in a REALLY bad mood:

Ozzy and Lita Ford "Close my Eyes Forever"
The Cure "Pictures of You" and "Love Song"
Hoobastank "The Reason".

Sometimes, The Pogues "Fairytale of New York".

The entire cd of Tull's Songs from the Woods.

When I Go by Dave Carter/Tracy Grammer (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Imf2GYV0xNo) or by Pat Wictor (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0PFOGwkllv0&feature=related). I like them both equally, want it sung at my memorial service.

Hallejulah as sung by Jeff Buckley (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0PFOGwkllv0&feature=related) (NOT by Leonard Cohen who can't sing, imo.)

Great question!

I love Cohen's singing, but I don't like the instrumental arrangement he does of "Hallelujah."
