Bring the bling

badseed1980Yesterday, I placed an order with the fabulous L. Rose Designs for a dance bra, aturban-style headband, and a pair of peek-a-boo gloves, all in red velvet. I have a trumpet skirt that matches them already, not made by that company, but close enough that it will work.
I am going to need to bling these puppies UP. I'm going to have to decide whether I want the pin/button/thing of my grandmother's (red glass cabochon surrounded by clear crystals) on the midpoint of the bra, or on the headband. It might end up being the headband, and something dangly at the center of the bra. I'm planning on doing Swarovski sew-on crystals, maybe, and/or some jewelry (cheaper stuff) that I'll take apart. This should be an exciting project!

nepenthe01 , who let me try on some of her L. Rose dance bras, I found out that I need more coverage than a large gives me, but the band on the large is the size I need. I'm still worried that it won't fit right, but maybe I can fix that if that's the case. If I do have problems with it that I can't fix, I might order their sleeveless half-top with full pinch, and ask them to cut the back down a little. We'll see. Anyway, this will be my RED costume. I do need one of those, you know. :)
