I'm feeling productive today!
Oct. 11th, 2010 04:57 pmI've had a great long weekend. Saturday, I did a little cooking, some errand-running, and then I went to a lovely potluck dinner with my friends. Yesterday was more cooking and then
lensman and
roaming's ten year anniversary/handfasting party. That was delightful. It was great to hang out with so many awesome people, and to celebrate such a wonderful couple. Today, I'm getting a lot of work done. So far, I've:
* put away the clothes that were hanging up to dry
* swapped out my summer and winter clothes
* dryer-dry cleaned my Trashy Diva top and skirt, and another skirt
* taken out the air conditioning units and stuck them in Spare Oom
* gone grocery shopping
* cleaned the bathroom sink
* done some dishes
* set up the coffee pot to brew me a pot tomorrow morning
* started the process of getting the garden ready for winter (tossed a lot of dead plants and repotted my smaller rosemary)
I'm in the process of making a quinoa pilaf and some stewed green beans, tomatoes, and mushrooms that will be my lunches for the week. When that's done, I might take a few minutes to practice shimmying, then have dinner, then do some knitting. Nine rows to go on the shawl! (plus bind-off and blocking, obviously)
It's been more invigorating than exhausting, doing this stuff today. I wouldn't be surprised if I'm tired by the time I sit down for dinner, though!
