About last night
Apr. 30th, 2004 10:41 amWell, last night was a llot of fun!
I met Jason S. in front of The Black Rose. He had described himself to me, and it only took me a few seconds to recognize him when he approached. We ate dinner there, and although conversation was slightly more awkward at first than it had been online, we soon got into a good rhythm. He's into history, mythology, and philosophy, as well as metaphysics to some extent, so we had a lot to talk about. How many times does Sumerian mythology come up on a first date? I thought that was pretty cool. We've already agreed we need to raid one another's libraries. :)
He has a VERY cool tattoo, the coolest I've seen in a long time. It's a very well-executed one, too. I forgot to ask who his artist is, but they apparently do good black work. It's a picture from a Cretan vase of two stylized lions with a human figure with a sword between them, caught in the middle and about to be torn apart. Not graphic, but stylized, and very very cool. Yeah, I should ask about his artist. As much as I adore the people at Tribal Ways, I like their piercing better than their tattooing.
So after dinner, we walked through the Common and the Public Garden, looking at trees and ducks and chatting. The evening ended with a kiss, a hug, and an agreement that that would not be the last date.
So anyway, a brief description of Jason S.: quite tall and slim, slightly receding hairline that doesn't do that "middle aged accountant" look, but instead gives him a rather striking widow's peak, very intense eyes, and nice bone structure. He's got a nice mellow voice, medium range, and nice hands. So yes, rather attractive. He told me that my first reaction to him looked disappointed or negative, but I assured him it was only hesitation--I wasn't sure if it was him or not. :) He's a nice, and a nice-looking, guy, and I'm looking forward to seeing him again.
