Slight chip on shoulder developing.
Feb. 14th, 2007 06:43 amYes, I am celebrating this commercial, heterocentric, monogamy-centric, sappy, cheesy, Hallmark holiday. And I like celebrating it.
I'm not celebrating it out of some vague sense of societal obligation. I'm making this a time to fight mid-February SAD and icky weather with romance. I'm making it an excuse to take some time out of a busy life to do something special with the people I love. I'm taking an opportunity to stock up on schmoop while schmoop is freely available. I like this.
Note: this rant is due more to the vast number of complaints and large amounts of smug anti-V-Day sentiment I've seen on a few polyamory forums than it is to anything said by anyone on my flist.
