OK, so here's how it started. At some department shindig, maybe last year at our holiday party, one decoration in the centerpiece was a mini-disco ball. At the end of the party, people were encouraged to take the centerpieces. I took the disco ball from one. It's now hanging from a shelf in my cube. Today, right now, for the first time ever, the sun is coming in from the windows at JUST the right angle to hit the disco ball and make it throw little glints of light everywhere. It's pretty cool. I gave it a spin, and it's now moving lazily back and forth. Everyone is confused by the shiny. :)

Posty McPostalot?
Jan. 13th, 2009 10:04 amYesterday's workout.
To start with, I walked from work to Trader Joe's, and came back with two heavy bags, while on my lunch break (about .84 miles, total).
Then, after work, I walked from my building (right next to the Cambridge Hyatt on Memorial Drive) over the BU Bridge to Espresso Royale Cafe on Comm Ave., where I was going to get a bagel with cream cheese and veggies for dinner. When I got to the register, I realized I didn't have my wallet. I knew right away I'd left it in my Trader Joe's bag at work. I walked BACK to work, where I had to wait for someone coming out to let me in (building locks at 5:30, I didn't have my ID). I got my wallet and walked back over the bridge to Comm Ave., where I went to the Campus Convenience store and got some sushi (total of the three trips = about 1.8 miles).
Then I went to the room where I had dance, ate my sushi, and moved all of the desks in the room so we'd have room to dance.
THEN we did dance class.
Then I took the T to Wellington and walked home from there (about 0.9 miles).
I was bloody tired when I got home, let me tell you.
