What a way to start the morning.

So this morning I got up to go to the bathroom after my alarm went off. When the toilet was nearly done flushing, the cap from the air freshener bottle fell off and GOT FLUSHED DOWN. Now I have a toilet that's full of water and won't flush after 20 straight minutes of vigorous plunging.

FUCK.

I called the damn landlady at 6:30 in the morning. She'll call the plumber after 7. Anyway, looks like I may be stuck here for a while. I'm just glad that 1) I already got to use the bathroom, and 2) the toilet is JUST full of water.

Goddamn it, this is not how I was thinking about using my personal time from work. Meh. Maybe it'll only be a few hours.

Update

So my landlady tried calling the plumber after 7am. He didn't answer. She left a message, but hasn't heard back from him. Then she said she would come over herself with a snake at 9:30. I went out to Diesel to pee and get coffee in the meantime.

Just now, the landlady called and told me she remembered had a 10am appointment and wouldn't be able to make it here until after that. Sometime between 11:30 and noon, she said. OY VEY.

I don't want to have to keep running down to Davis every time I need to pee for the next two and a half hours, but it looks as though I have no choice.

I may not even get in to work today. I have SERIOUS doubts about whether she'll be able to do anything with that snake.

Yay!

Plumbing problem fixed! I am now at work!
